The Role

You will be responsible for facilitating the development and provision of tenant participation in Camden; building a clear and effective framework in which tenant participation operates, delivering guidance and supporting good governance of all tenant and resident groups.

You will develop successful strategic participation, community based projects, new initiatives and be able to clearly communicate the council’s policies and procedures around tenant participation to all audiences.

Other key outcomes you will be responsible for are Tenants and Residents Associations (TRA) groups and Community events. You’ll deliver new and innovative participation initiatives resulting in a wider range and increased number of engaged tenants across housing services and ensure maintenance of records and accurate briefing information to tenants, colleagues and members.

The post holder will work flexibly and attend evening/weekend meetings as required.

You will possess knowledge of the National Standard for Tenant Involvement and Empowerment, Community Development Practices and delivering outcomes within financial budgets.

You’ll have experience of using “Social Media” and Microsoft Office programmes including Excel and Access, as well as consultation tools such as SNAP. You’ll have excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.  An avid team player that can work collaboratively across teams towards a shared endeavour while just effective using your own initiative.  An out of the box thinker with a customer centric focus.
