Trainee Highways Estimator

ODS have a new opportunity (Fixed term for 2 years) to enable us to increase our revenue in our Highways and Engineering department. We are seeking someone with experience of Civil Engineering that wants to learn on the job to produce estimates.

We are looking for someone who is from a Civil Engineering or Highways background who has a good understanding of the work, output rates and current material prices. This job manages the bid process for private works as well as producing estimates for in-house projects.

We are we looking for?

• An organised individual with excellent attention to detail to undertake a Trainee Estimator role. You will be required to develop the skills to price Highways, Infrastructure and Civil Engineering projects for ODS and private customers.
• Someone with a professional attitude and excellent communication skills
• Strong numeracy skills to ensure accurate calculations
• Excellent written English skills to accurately interpret and complete tender documents
• Full, valid UK driving licence
• Physically fit to undertake site visits in all weathers
• Someone with the ability to work on site or remotely as required
