The Community Protection Team is currently looking to recruit a Community Protection Regulatory Officer to deal with the investigation of noise, nuisance, anti-social behaviour and public health complaints.

Some knowledge and understanding of environmental and public health protection disciplines, such as Statutory nuisance, is essential. 

The successful applicant will need excellent communication skills including ability to effectively negotiate with individuals and businesses, a commitment to customer care, and be an effective team member whilst still having the ability to take on a varied case load and work independently.  This is an enforcement role and applicant will need experience of undertaking investigative work and, ideally, providing front line public services.

The successful applicant will provide support to the team’s Environmental Health Officers while also benefitting from their experience and guidance.

A full driving licence is required and you will need to undertake some aspects of the work outside of normal office hours.
