As we create the new Council this post will play a vital role in shaping the place for our communities and businesses.Part of the corporate leadership team, you’ll inspire great service delivery through skilled strategic direction and our enabling culture. We’ll be looking to you to head up vital areas such as Economic Development, Regeneration, Highways, Waste, Assets and Environment, motivating teams and managing high value contracts so they drive transformation.
You’ll be building relationships across the county, region and country to support growth from an economic and Place perspective. Your success rests on your ability to expand commercial potential: growing new and existing revenue streams, reducing delivery costs and finding more cost-efficient ways to ways to achieve objectives. The strategic lead on commercial, contract management and sourcing activities, you’ll provide expertise and invaluable guidance.
To meet these challenges, you will be an experienced place professional with experience of delivering opportunities for commercial development. You also know how to blend commercial acumen with a public sector ethos to benefit communities. And, with your resilience, drive and communication skills, you will help transform our services and put residents right at the heart of our plans.
