Are you are enthusiastic and dynamic and want to join a dedicated and very supportive team in the delivery of Adult Social Care across Sandwell? 

The Sandwell Young Adults Team work with vulnerable people from 18 – 25 years old and are looking for a dedicated qualified Social Worker to join their team. The team is very friendly and supportive of each other. We meet regularly as a team to discuss clients, explore areas of practice and offer 1:1 supervision monthly.

You will need to have the confidence to advocate for our clients and work in partnership with health colleagues, other statutory partners and voluntary sector providers.  As a practitioner you will need to have the ability to be creative, innovative and search for solutions that are not always obvious. 

A Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW or equivalent is an essential requirement for the role and the successful candidate should be flexible, innovative and have an up to date knowledge and experience of legislation and policies in the social care arena.

In addition, should be competent in applying a strengths based approach to assessment and support planning and be able to  support customers to meet their assessed outcomes and maximise their independence by utilising community resources and universal services.
