Please note that due to Covid-19 the team are currently working from home and not office based.

This job is temporary for up to 12 months to cover additional workloads

You will work within a community setting as part of the Accessible Homes Team which provides an all age cross tenure assessment and adaptations service to identify more suitable housing accommodation for people with disabilities or particular health needs, in order to restore or enable independent living, privacy, confidence and dignity for individuals and their families.

Working alongside other OT’s, Community Care Officers, Medical Advisory Officers and Housing Surveyors, and collaboratively with other health / care professionals, you will assess the needs of individuals, either in their own homes or other residential / care settings, and seek information in order to inform clinical decision making with the aim of identifying appropriate adaptive solutions. 

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and post -qualification experience of assessing people in their own homes with regard to equipment adaptations and knowledge of specialist disability equipment and the health and social care duties governing funding and provision
