About us

Camden is listening to everyone, including you. We’re giving a platform to people inside and outside our community. Because, we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As Strategic Commissioner in the Adults’ Commissioning Team, you’ll work with us to commission domiciliary services to help create a better future for all residents who use our services.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the adults’ commissioning service as a strategic commissioner working on a range of commissioning and projects. You’ll bring your knowledge of Adult’s Commissioning and take a lead on the commissioning and contract management of domiciliary homecare services for adults.

About you

We are looking for someone educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with a professional qualification in education, health or social care.  You will need extensive knowledge of commissioning including procurement and have a good knowledge of adult social care services, particularly domiciliary homecare.  You will have widespread experience of working as a commissioner including contract management and be able to work collaboratively and in partnership with stakeholders and across agencies to deliver improved outcomes for residents.

You’ll have an excellent understanding of dealing with and analysing information whilst under pressure, and effectively communicating this information to others in oral or written form. It’s key that you have experience of writing and presenting reports to inform others about relevant issues and recommend appropriate future action.
