An exciting career opportunity has arisen to join us Barnet’s Integrated Clinical Services (BICS) a Children, Young People mild to moderate mental health service in the borough.

As an assistant psychologist will support delivery of evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, in Barnet.  You will also play a key role in supporting the Clinical Managers of the two moderate mental health teams with BICS ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the service.

The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time. We are a strong, supportive, friendly department and support professional development. The starting salary is equivalent to NHS Agenda for Change Band 5.

As part of this role, there may be a requirement to travel between settings and to/from the office where the team base is located.

The successful candidate will be able to establish good communication and rapport with children and young people and demonstrate a graduate level knowledge of research and research methodology. You will also have a broad general and/or clinical knowledge base of Child Development and Mental Health

You should be able to work as a team member and to engage effectively with clients and staff across a range of contexts and be able to plan and organise in the face of complex and competing demands. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with people from different backgrounds, cultures and of different ages.

The post holder will have a positive and proactive approach to their own continuing professional development and have the capacity for reflective practice.
