Are you an experienced Senior Estates Surveyor looking for a new challenge and interested in being part of a local authority management team?

As Estates Manager for Torridge District Council you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a diverse property portfolio in one of the most breath-taking parts of the South West.

The position is just right for a Chartered Surveyor or Chartered Valuer comfortable in leading a dedicated in house team, who is also capable of the hands-on work required in the ongoing management and shaping of the country parks and commercial estate.

Reporting directly to the Senior Management Team, you will be contributing to the strategic management and leadership of the council. 

As a customer focussed, experienced property professional, you will deliver a range of services across the District. You will be responsible for the effective management of all property related matters including negotiations for acquisitions and disposals, granting of leases and rent reviews.  The role will also require management reporting under EPIMS and OPE guidelines and reporting to elected Members and Committees.

Variety comes as standard – no two days will be the same in this role in an office on the banks of the Torridge estuary in Bideford and within walking distance of the dramatic North Devon Coastline.
