Essex County Council (ECC) are currently looking for talented and experienced Primary Teachers / Supply Teachers (must hold QTS) in the Braintree area from January onwards.

ECC have recently created a centralised recruitment service for Supply Teachers. This new service is free of charge and offers excellent rates of pay, all on a PAYE basis.

The aims of the service are simple, All Supply Teachers;
*Have a clear and straightforward route to employment
*Earn a fair wage and are paid in an uncomplicated and clear process
*Receive the support required to develop effective and long-lasting relationships with schools

The Role:

As a successful applicant you will be working as a Primary Teacher on a supply basis, covering classes when there is sickness or general absence. There is also huge demand for Primary Teachers who are confident and capable of working on booster classes. Due to the unprecedented situation this year with Covid 19 students are facing a real struggle to achieve their full potential. You could play a huge part in helping Essex children overcome the challenges of this year through quality teaching and general pedological support.

The nature of the service ECC is providing means we have requirements of all types and can accommodate Primary Teachers with different skills, specialisms, age group preferences and working patterns.

Required Skills and Experience

*Previous classroom teaching experience (QTS or equivalent is a must!)
*A confident & adaptable approach, with the ability to react professionally to new situations and environments
*Strong classroom management skills
*A thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum
*Clear and concise communication skills
*The ability to deliver lessons to a consistently high standard

As part of employment with Essex County Council should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
