Please note that these positions are being offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis for a period of 10 months.

These positions will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home, with an expectation of being home based for the foreseeable future. However, if / when government guidelines change the role may then revert to being office based, whilst retaining some flexible working options.

The Team

Purchase to Pay (P2P) and Income aims to provide a comprehensive financial transactional and support service, maximising new and innovative technology to provide excellent customer service using a multi skilled workforce

Responsibilities

  • Process experts who will become specialists in the operation of the system
  • To develop testing materials (test scripts, expected results
  • Assist with the compilation, approval and maintenance of all user documentation\procedure manuals
  • Completion of change requests including business impact, costs and benefits for submission to Design Authority
  • Provide progress reporting to the Business Lead(s) as required
  • Provide progress reporting to the Business Lead(s) as required
  • Experts of their specific functional areas, knowing in detail the current processes and business requirements to be fulfilled using the Oracle Fusion applications in their functional areas.
  • Participate in all required design workshops including progressing all actions within the required timescales
  • Provide business scenarios for their specific functional areas covering all key processes within the required timescales to support the design workshops
  • Lead UAT for their specific functional areas ensuring that testing is completed as per the Testing Strategy and required timescales
  • Support the data migration and data cleanse activities as required
  • To be trained on the Oracle Fusion solution as part of train the trainer and then to support the training of staff during implementation
  • Deliver workshops to team members and customers as required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • You will have extensive Income and / or P2P/AP experience with knowledge of Oracle Financials and ideally knowledge of Fusion.
  • Educated to RQF level 6 (Bachelor's degree) or equivalent by experience. Project management accreditation/qualification, or equivalent by experience, would be desirable.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area.
  • Substantial experience and good working knowledge of P2P/Income systems and demonstrable accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase to pay and e-invoicing experience, in a high volume environment.
  • Ability to interpret complex and varied information and use it to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership skills and behaviours, building a diverse team to achieve shared objectives.
  • Experience of managing cultural and operational change in a complex environment.
  • Good level of commercial awareness, with the ability to build effective working relationships at senior level, with internal and external customers, suppliers and partners.
  • Ability to evaluate and support innovative approaches to improving service delivery and value for money, with a strong focus on performance and delivery.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate, constructively challenge and influence at senior level across the Council and external partners.
