An opportunity has arisen for a structural engineer to join the Royal Greenwich Building Control team.  We are seeking to recruit a capable and enthusiastic individual to join our responsive and trusted Building Control service.  We are offering a unique opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious commercial and residential buildings and developments in the capitol.

This rewarding job will suit applicants who have a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality Building Control services.  The successful candidate will have a sound and practical knowledge and understanding of traditional and modern construction detailing and techniques.  An understanding of and ability to apply the relevant legislation is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will have a degree in structural engineering with at least five years building control engineering experience and corporate membership of the IStructE.  You will be integral to the functions of the Building Control team, leading on structural engineering matters, formulating engineering policy and providing specialist engineering support to the team.  You will assist with dangerous structures referrals and act as professional witness in legal proceedings, giving evidence as necessary.
