About us

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Because we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As an experienced Land and Property Gazetteer Application Analyst you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including all service areas that are supported by the system and other IT teams as well as the solution provider.

The role

This is a hands-on role and will involve daily maintenance of the Camden Local Land and Property Gazetteer based on the national standards BS7776.

The Land and Property gazetteer (LPG) system is a critical system which provides address data to many other systems internally and externally so you will be involved in receiving and logging requests for support from help desk, other service delivery staff and users and prioritise requests in accordance with agreed criteria and the needs of the organisation.

This role sits in the Applications Place function within Digital & Data services so we are looking for someone who is experienced and can confidently liaise with systems development staff or software suppliers on the development of system enhancements.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have substantial experience of LPG data management maintenance. You will be someone that understand the property data lifecycle, data entry conventions and have an eye for detail.

You will understand the processes behind street naming and numbering, planning processes, and council tax. You be able to work with mapping data and be familiar with mapping software such MapInfo 19 or ESRI ArcView. You will have experience of linking external address data sets such as PAF and VOA data to the LPG and maintain the standards as specified by GeoPlace.

You will also demonstrate experience of working collaboratively with departments and organisations to deliver outcomes and successfully engage a range of stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for the right individual.
