The role

Robson House aims to meet the social, emotional, mental health and academic needs of highly vulnerable children, so that they are able to make accelerated progress and be ready for their next stage in learning. We provide a stimulating and secure learning environment for pupils to give them a positive experience of school.

As the Social Worker at Robson House, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will hold a varied caseload, providing specific interventions, and will help coordinate support for children with complex mental health needs.  You will be expected to manage your own workload and resources. You will undertake assessments of risk, needs and capacity and contribute to integrated planning and support.  You will provide supervision and support to key workers, helping devise, implement and review interventions with children and families.

There is a strong commitment to promoting your professional development in Camden. You will be supported by clinical and management supervision and will be given the opportunity to develop and enhance clinical skills, leadership skills, therapeutic interventions and case management through appraisal and personal development planning.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity it is essential the successful candidate is a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England with experience of working in a working with children with SEMH needs and their families. You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the pressures faced by families with children living in socially deprived neighborhoods and of their needs.

You will be enthusiastic, passionate and committed to work to improve the well-being of service users and their carers.  You will demonstrate the ability to take responsibility for managing your own workload at a high standard and delivering to set deadlines.

You will have strong awareness and understanding of the complexities of operating in a multi-disciplinary setting.  You will also be proficient in using Microsoft Office Packages i.e. PowerPoint and Word, Intermediate Excel. Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
