Job Details
We are looking for a high performing, enthusiastic individual with either previous experience or the relevant transferrable skills to join our Democratic Services team undertaking committee management and scrutiny support work. This will include:
- Preparing and publishing agenda for decision making and scrutiny meetings;
- Attending and producing minutes for those meetings;
- Advising on constitutional and working practices
You will be highly motivated, with proven ability to work under your own initiative and to work well within a team.
You will be personable and approachable with excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as being able to apply total discretion and sensitivity to working in a political environment.
This role is initially fixed term until 31 May 2021, but there is a possibility for permanent opportunities.
This post is 37 hours per week on average, although the majority of meetings covered are held on weekdays evenings, resulting in Time Off In Lieu when service needs allow and meaning that some weeks employees do more than the standard 37 and others less
