The Teaching Assistant Role

This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting the delivery of high quality learning and assisting in the support and development of students with ASD. This is a great opportunity to help pupils improve their knowledge and academic ability whilst building up their social skills for successful futures.

You will benefit from a wealth of experienced colleagues, training opportunities throughout your time as a Teaching Assistant and above all a supportive, collaborative spirit.
This SEND Teaching Assistant role requires patience, resilience and a creative and flexible approach to helping children learn. You will work with closely with parents, staff and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes possible are achieved.

The Successful Teaching Assistant

This role requires a Teaching Assistant who understands and values the importance of pupil-centred education. Ideally you will have an understanding of using visuals such as PECS or will be prepared to take on training.
You will be required to look beyond the basics, encouraging engagement in sport and the arts as well as core academic subject matter. Demonstrating the ability to interest, encourage and motivate children.
