Reporting into the Assistant Director of Civil protection this role has line management responsibility for delivering the Council’s Outbreak Control enforcement and compliance functions.  In particular the current Covid-19 pandemic.  Having direct reports for at least 5  areas : Outbreak Control Business (Data) Analysis, Outbreak Control Programme Manager, Outbreak Control Managers and Outbreak Control Business Intelligence Analysis  You will be the lead Officer and adviser on all Outbreak Control matters, ensuring effective  partnership working with NHS Havering, the Health Protection Agency and other appropriate bodies  to ensure public health protection within the community.

You will need to demonstrate specific experience in working with the general public, including customer care initiatives such as community based consultation, experience dealing with external partners and importantly have both the written and oral skills to convey operational, technical, policy or strategic information effectively. Able to lead an effective and efficient Outbreak Control Service with clear management and guidance ensuring the reputation of the Council is safeguarded.
