Reporting into the Assistant Director of Civil protection this role you will lead the strategic development of Community Safety and Environmental Enforcement.  Providing strategic leadership on behalf of the Authority, with responsibility for working with other relevant statutory, non-statutory and community partners, on the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and operations to make Havering a safer borough.  The role will have responsibility for regular liaison with Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge Borough Councils, under the established East BCU.

You will have responsibility for operational delivery of key services across the Borough, including Environmental and ASB Enforcement, Community Safety (Domestic Abuse, IOM, Serious Gang Violence and ASB). Demonstrating experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams at a senior level preferably within crime, safety, and environmental services desirably as part of a local authority setting. Significant experience in operating strategically with statutory and non-statutory partners. Excellent Knowledge of Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, Environmental Protection Act 1990, and Data Protection Act 2018 & GDPR.
