Luton 2040 is the strategy that forms part of our vision for Luton, and this role will be crucial to delivering that vision. We want Luton to be a place where everyone can achieve and everyone can thrive. This means the growth of London Luton Airport is a key priority for the town and the Council.

Prior to the pandemic, London Luton Airport was the fastest growing airport in the UK. While growth is important, the focus for this role will be developing the company and liaising with shareholders.

Leading a small team to provide dedicated support to London Luton Airport

Limited, you’ll drive the Council’s ambitious objective as a shareholder of the company and provide support in relation to the delivery of the Luton Enterprise Zone.

With significant commercial experience and working knowledge of company law, you’ll lead the strategic, tactical and operational management of the company, while ensuring effective governance to enhance the value of the Airport asset. It would be helpful if you have a working knowledge of the regulatory and policy framework affecting London Luton Airport Limited and UK Aviation in general. This role is part of the Corporate Senior Management

Team. And as this role will be within our Council, we’ll need someone with excellent working knowledge of local authority operations.
