About the Role
Working to support adults, and their families, who have complex social needs and are more vulnerable as a result of disability, exclusion, or diminished capacity, you'll maximise their potential to live independently.
With case work focusing on the most complex and challenging adult cases, you'll ensure that adults and their families are safeguarded. You'll share ideas and best practice, providing specialist advice as part of a multi-disciplinary team sharing your knowledge as an Occupational Therapist.
We currently have several opportunities for Occupational Therapists, within our Mid Essex area.
Our Mid Essex area is at the centre of our county, covering the Braintree, Chelmsford and local area.
With the only city in the County and rural villages it is a diverse locality to work in. Bordering all other areas of the county you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across Essex County Council. This is also one of our most connected areas of the county, with excellent travel links including direct trains to London.
Teams currently recruiting:
Early Intervention Team, this is a great opportunity to join a team focused on preventative approaches to social care moving at a fast pace where your Occupational Therapist experience can be used to impact vulnerable adults lives often at the point of referral into social care.
Ongoing Support Team, applying your knowledge across complex cases, creating meaningful lives and focusing on long term support, Occupational Therapists play an integral part in this team.
About You
To apply, you'll need a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, CQSW, CSS or equivalent qualification, with current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration. With experience of working in a Social Care or Health setting ideally working to support vulnerable adults. This should include the ability to work with a complex caseload underpinned by evidence-based practice.
This role involves travelling around Essex. A driving licence and car - or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means - is essential.
All candidates applying to Adult Social Care will be expected to join on a 12-week rota on a 6-day shift pattern and this will include some weekend work. However, we still promote flexible working and a flexible work pattern can be discussed.
