The commissioning, contracting and market management supported living team provides end-to-end commissioning. This includes the annual statutory review of all individuals in supported accommodation across different service user groups.
The social worker posts are to support the wider review function and complete areas of work such as applications to the court of protection (Community DoLs, One-off decision, completion of COP 1/3 etc.) Case management when required whilst liaising with other specialist teams such as the learning disability team and providing support to a team of placement relationship officers.
This team has a review function only.
You will be a qualified social worker with experience of supported living services especially for adults with a learning disability. Experience of completing court of protection documents as detailed above is essential, as this will form a large part of the role.
This is a large, lively and dynamic team so the ability to work as part of a team and support other colleagues is required. The team has a varied function overall and the ability to think differently, creatively and get ‘stuck in’ to pieces of work that may not be exactly a social work function is desirable. If you want, commissioning experience this is the team to work in!
A good communicator with a can do attitude who wants to gain different experiences and knowledge in a non-traditional social work team.
