Family Support and Child Protection brings together the statutory elements of Children’s Social Care provision, a wide range of Family Support, Youth Offending and Youth Services into one overall management arrangement.  The service provides clearly focused targeted interventions to take place within a context of integrated assessment and service provision.

Your role will be to provide Business Support to the Assessment and Intervention Team team, duties will include:

  • Data processing (input and retrieval) – including service based IT systems.
  • Information and record management as directed.
  • Responding to non-routine enquires/complaints, signposting as required.
  • Specialist word processing.
  • Minuting meetings
  • General administrative duties as required.
  • Cash handling and processing of invoices or cheques.

It is essential that you are familiar with computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Access and Excel, and that you are able to demonstrate business and administration skills to NVQ 2 level or equivalent.  A level of literacy to be able to produce routine documentation and numeracy skills to be able to deal with, for example petty cash is also essential.
