And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As a Treasury and Pensions Accountant you will support the Treasury and Pensions function to ensure that operational processes are completed efficiently and effectively. 

The role 

Camden has a proud, rebellious spirit that throughout its history has seen communities come together to tackle problems, and to bring about real social change. The Treasury and Pension Accountant will support on Treasury and Pensions issues, contributing to strategy and supporting the Treasury and Pensions Manager on these matters. The key outcomes and objectives will include dealing and investment of surplus resources within the parameters set out in the Treasury management strategy, cash flow management and forecasting, and analysis of pension fund performance. 

The right individual will also deal with compilation of statistics to support treasury and pension fund reports and reconciliations of all treasury activity. 

About you 

To be suitable for the role you need to be an AAT qualified, studying for a CCAB or have an equivalent professional qualification. You will also need to have knowledge of Treasury and Pensions work including accounting requirements, relevant CIPFA Codes of Practice and knowledge of Treasury/ Pensions operations and strategy. 

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge around Treasury or Pensions ideally within a local government setting. You will have the ability to build relationships with internal and external professionals such as Brokers, advisers and Banks and show an ability to really understand how the service works and be a valuable Treasury and Pensions Accountant. 

This role is subject to a DBS Standard Check.
