Secondary and Post 16 Facilitator for Autistic Children and Young People

Salary Grade: GLPC spine points 12 - 15

Salary: £25,137 – £26,520 per annum

Working Hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week

Contract: Permanent, All Year Round

The Autism Advisory Team is a dynamic and enthusiastic team that is passionate about developing high-quality provision for all autistic students in Barnet.

We are looking for a highly motivated Facilitator to support educational settings in working with autistic students. The successful candidate will work as part of the Specialist Team, which includes teams for hearing and vision difficulties; physical disabilities; behaviour; speech, language and communication and a pre-school autism service.

The candidate will support autistic children and young people in a range of educational settings but mostly in secondary schools and post 16 colleges and placements. The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working with autistic young people.

The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a strong team ethos and be able to motivate, challenge and inspire students, colleagues, school staff and other professionals.
