The Post

This is an exciting opportunity for a person with significant experience and strong leadership skills; who respects and values each young person through person centred ethos, to join as Registered Manager at our outstanding Short Break Centre.

The role involves working in our unique in-house provision, to lead best practice in supporting children and young people with; autistic spectrum disorders, profound disabilities and complex health needs and learning disabilities to offer high quality short breaks

Successful candidates will be part of  a strong team to provide direct service to disabled children and young people and support our vision of improving education, health and well-being outcomes for our disabled children and young people working in partnership with schools, health colleagues  and other local partners  to improve outcomes and prepare children and young people for adulthood.

 

The Person

 

We are looking for an experienced registered manager with strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, experienced and enthusiastic about working with children, young people, young adults and their families. 

Level 5 Diploma  in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or a qualification which is considered to be equivalent to the Level 5 Diploma.

Effectively manage and lead the care of disabled children and young people.

Significant experience of working in a social care setting, managing diverse teams.

Significant experience of working with children and young people with autistic spectrum disorders, profound disabilities and complex health needs (essential).

Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards with proven experience in delivering positive outcomes for young people.

 This role will offer you the opportunity to be part of a permanent team at our  established outstanding Ade Adepitan Short Break Centre. You will have supportive managers and you will work within a dedicated team of colleagues with good knowledge around disabled children and young people.
