Team Manager - Mental Health

Location: Chelmsford
This is a fixed term / secondment for a period of 6 months.About the roleDeputising for the Service Manager for Adult Mental Health, the Team Manager will act as the Mental Health Social Care Lead and will provide social care leadership, forming constructive relationships at a senior level with the Mental Health Trust (EPUT) (who deliver an integrated health and social care assessment and care management service delegated through a S75 Partnership Agreement) and across the wider organisation.This role will report to the Service Manager (Adult Mental Health) and will be accountable for the championing social care within the Trusts, including embedding the Care Act, social care eligibility and promote independence and choice in line with commissioning outcomes.Job PurposeThe purpose of this role is to:- Provide effective social care leadership and promote effective partnerships including the identification of opportunities and joint commissioning with CCG's of integrated services where appropriate.Contribute to the management of the external purchasing budgetEnsure statutory requirements are in place - AMHP, S117, social care assessment and care managementOperational oversight of the S75 partnership agreements ensuring quality assurance and adherence to the Foundations of Practice programme
- Ensure planning, development, implementation and delivery of tactical commissioning plans by working with partners to ensure that commissioning activities are accurately translated into a prioritised programme to deliver the activity ensuring best value for money and associated outcomes.Use specialist skill, knowledge and experience to deliver key commissioning projects on time and in budget
- Educated to degree level in social work or other relevant subject area, or equivalent by experience.Valid UK or European driving license.
