Secondment Opportunity/Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

We are looking for an experienced professional to oversee the development and management of various work programmes throughout public health.
You will provide leadership for improving health for Sandwell residents. This includes leading strategies action plans and commissioning services.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with all stakeholders (within the Local Authority), across the NHS (Clinical Commissioning Groups, Hospital Trust) with voluntary or third sector agencies and users organisations and be able to advocate for public health at local, regional and national forums.
You will be qualified to degree level (in life or social sciences, statistics or similar) or have equivalent relevant experience.
You will have significant experience in health improvement and a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working within a complex environment.
You must have:
- Master's level education in Public Health/Social Science/or equivalent, OR;
- Substantial experience of working in an area of public health or social sciences
