WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS IN GREENWICH?

The SEND Outreach Services consist of four established and highly regarded teams that cover early years, autistic spectrum disorder, primary and secondary school support and sensory impairment.

At STEPS we support and promote the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs in mainstream settings and we are looking for an experienced individual to join our hardworking and supportive team.

You will be supporting staff in school settings to support children with learning needs, with a focus on the development of literacy and maths skills. You will work alongside teachers and other specialist staff in the STEPS team and the wider SEND Outreach Services.

The post holder would be responsible for a caseload of children with special educational needs across a range of settings through direct work, consultation and collaborative planning with the child’s parents/carers, school staff and other professionals.

This post also requires working alongside team members to deliver SEN training through the Special Needs training programme.

You would be travelling across the Borough but based in Eltham and it would be an advantage to be a car user.

If you would like to discuss this post in more detail please contact: Hetal Patel Acting Team Leader: STEPS Hetal.Patel@royalgreenwich.gov.uk
