Our new Corporate Director for Community Wealth Building will be a key component in making this a reality for all our residents by providing leadership and drive to promote and implement this strategy. You will tackle economic disadvantage and inequality by increasing opportunities for all; creating a sustainable and inclusive economy; and developing a thriving community asset base. In leading our planning and development division as well as major capital projects, you will ensure we optimise commercial opportunities whilst delivering maximum social value to our communities.

This is a leadership role, and as such, we will be looking to you to drive positive cultural change, embody our behaviours and values in all that you do, and ensure the effective implementation of all corporate initiatives and transformation programmes you lead.

To be our next Corporate Director, you will have operated successfully in a large, complex organisation delivering significant change and transformation. You will be someone that has an eye to the future and not settle for what has been done before; with demonstrable experience of driving innovation within this roles portfolio to deliver positive outcomes for residents and communities. You will have a good level of political awareness, both locally and nationally, and be able to turn policy and legislative change into positive actions. Above all, you will be a strong collaborator, confident system leader and have the ambition to make a real difference to the residents of Islington.
