 Performance, Policy and Development Manager (Housing) – PO6

The Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Housing Inclusion & Support Service is on a mission to become one of the top service providers in housing support and homelessness prevention. As part of this continuous improvement journey, we want to ensure that the customer experience, in addition to the access and delivery of advice, information and assessments are exemplary.

We are seeking motivated people, who like a challenge, have a commitment to preventing homelessness and want to help us deliver excellent services.

An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate to join the team as a Performance, Policy and Development Manager within the Housing Inclusion Service. The post holder will work with senior managers, to provide strategic direction for the service and ensure that housing customers have access to a solution-focused service. You will lead on key areas such as performance management, commissioning, rough sleeping, domestic abuse and customer enquiries and complaints.

As you will be responsible for the Performance & Development and the Customer Access Team’s, you will ideally have management experience, with an awareness of delivering a frontline service to a diverse range of customers, often with complex needs and issues.

You will also have demonstrable contract management, project management and quality assurance experience, as well as a good working knowledge of housing and related legislation. The post will also involve working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders within housing, children social care, the wider Council, health, the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), third sector providers and a range of service user groups.

You will have excellent communication skills including the ability to write high level reports and deliver presentations to a range of audiences.

We are looking for someone who is conscientious, adaptable and keen to join an innovative team to make a positive difference and drive the service forward, whilst also making a difference in the lives of those vulnerable residents who need help, support and assistance.
