Based within Essex County Council, Place Services is an award-winning local authority traded service, which provides a wide range of landscape, urban design and specialist environmental planning services to Local Authorities throughout the UK.

Place Services is growing to meet the demand for our experience and expertise, and we are currently recruiting for a Landscape Architect to join our multi-disciplinary consultancy team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Landscape Architect with strong interpersonal and presentation skills. The role is ideal for candidates who want to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals on a diverse range of projects that will bring positive improvements to the places and people we work with.

Candidates should be educated to a post graduate level in Landscape Architecture and have a strong knowledge of the planning system. Applicants should be able to demonstrate proven design ability, writing proficiency and knowledge of design software, as well as the ability to apply their own professional skills and experience to deliver place-making projects that prioritise sustainability and environmental values.
