Working within the wider Highways team you will manage the Council's parking services and policies ensuring that our parking strategy is met throughout the Borough. This includes the management of over 21,000 on-street and off-street parking places, permit schemes, and amendments to Traffic Regulation Orders. Enforcement services are provided through a third party and you will manage this contract checking that the key performance indicators are met. You will develop and consult on our corporate parking strategy for parking enforcement, tariff adjustments, innovation in parking technology, and response to legislative changes. We are continually looking for ways to improve our services and parking offering across MK so this role requires a forward-thinking individual who can identify innovation, drive continuous improvement and look to change management opportunities across the service area. Experience, Qualifications and any Mandatory Requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in managing parking including detailed knowledge of the legal, operational, and contract management requirements needed to manage a parking scheme
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Significant experience of report writing and analysing data
  • Ability to agile work
