Interim SEND Commissioner

Our local authority client is looking for an interim SEND commissioner:

To undertake a Strategic analysis of specialist provision including special and independent school provision for children with SEND

To develop the vision and plan for implementation of specialist provision in relation to independent and special school.

To develop alongside leads for SEMH, sensory impairment, MLD,  SLD/PMLD, ASD a strategic plan  for the  realignment of provision to ensure specialist provision is available  locally for CYP

To develop a phased implementation programme for the realignment and remodelling of specialist provision

To develop a programme for the implementation of the realignment of the resource base provision and associated commissioning processes

To establish and implement the governance arrangements for the allocation of specialist placements and the review of specialist placements

To put in place governance arrangements of the quality assurance of specialist provision across the city

To implement the new funding formulas for the special school and resource base provision and a monthly reporting and monitoring process.

To work closely with the commissioning team to put in place a quality assurance framework through the implementation of the DPS for the independent schools
