Here at North Yorkshire County Council our Technology and Change Department plays a vital part in improving and developing services across the whole Council for the benefit of our customers and staff.

Our Team

Our Technology Services is the technical and service delivery arm of Technology and Change; it under-pins all the council’s services and some of its partner’s services. The purpose of the Corporate Systems Team (CST) is to provide Services within T&C’s Service Management system, ensuring that all current and future services are aligned to the customers’ requirements and delivered to the agreed standard.

The role

We are looking for an experienced Services Manager – Corporate Systems who can support, motivate and lead a great team of professionals. You will be responsible for the delivery of technology and change services and products to agreed, achievable service levels and performance targets. You will also arrange and deliver services within budget, plan and review those services as well as contribute to the planning and development of new services.

To be successful in this role you will need to have in depth knowledge and experience of Service Level Management, and Supplier & Contract management. You must also have a proven track record in optimising and automating systems management and support.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with ITIL V4 Foundation but this is not essential as long as you hold a professional qualification or equivalent in the relevant specialism. For a detailed outline of the role please see attached the job specification.
