Job Details

Royal Greenwich is proud to be a borough synonymous with first class modern services. A world heritage site, our communities are vibrant and diverse, and we pride ourselves on being a well-managed and well-run authority.

We have also recently published our first digital strategy. To make that strategy into a reality, we need to hire a new digital, data and technology team to join our existing skill set.

As a Data Analyst, you will form part of our new data team, helping to build a full data capability so we can better tailor our services, make better decisions and understanding more about what our residents need from us.

You will do this by working in collaboration with services to help them understand, interpret and combine their data, in addition to contributing to service-specific and council-wide innovation projects to help us better understand resident need.

As an expert in understanding and applying modern tools to analyse data, you will work with our internal users to help data be usable and clear, creating information which supports and enhances strategy development and service delivery.

This role is best suited to someone with prior experience of interpreting large and complex data sets, with an ability to present these simply to stakeholders by using visualisations and reports to help others understand them.

During the current Covid-19 response you will be working mainly at home; when the pandemic abates we would like you to work with a mixture of home and office-based working.

This is a great role in a vibrant and growing team; in return, we offer a range of benefits which include:
