Are you an experienced children’s social work manager? Do you have solid knowledge of child in need, child protection and court work and the desire to support our City’s most vulnerable children?

Our four CIN/CP teams each support children on child in need plans, child protection plans and through Court proceedings.

This team management post is responsible for the team’s performance and statutory compliance, for providing child focused reflective supervision, for timely management decision making and for ensuring that we safeguard and support the children who we work with. 

This team manager post is part of the supportive and motivated Safeguarding Group Management Team. As a management team we are focused on working together, sharing our skills and supporting each other to enable our dedicated teams to continue to improve outcomes for our children. We all share the same commitment to high standards of practice.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly. Only a conceptually difficult subject can hinder a natural, smooth flow of language.
