As the Inclusive Economy and Communities Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Inclusive Economy and Community team in delivering opportunities to benefit the whole community of Trafford; through delivering support to businesses, employment and skills initiatives for residents, community development and regeneration projects.

This is an exciting time for an experienced professional to lead the delivery of Trafford’s Inclusive Economy Recovery Plan working in partnership with the public, private and VCFSE sectors. Recovering from the pandemic is a key priority for the Council and you will play a vital role in this.

You will be joining a busy, friendly, and proactive team with opportunities to work with a range of public and private sector stakeholders. Trafford is home to the Trafford Park Industrial Estate, the Trafford Centre, Manchester United Football Club and Lancashire County Cricket Club.

Applicants must have a degree or equivalent qualification plus a relevant professional qualification. As the Council’s inclusive economy lead, you will also have significant experience in this field with a successful track record in implementing economic development and community initiatives.

Excellent written and communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with businesses, the general public, partner agencies, other Council officers and elected members.

Trafford’s Inclusive Economy and Communities team is part of the wider Strategic Growth Service which is based at the recently rebuilt Town Hall in Stretford, and you will report to the Head of Strategic Growth. A flexible hours and working policy is in place and some unsocial hours working is required on occasions.
