Job Details

Chelmsford City Council are looking for a Parks Operative to work within Chelmsford City Grounds Maintenance Team.


The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to deliver an effective and excellent service, whilst continuing our success of delivering quality green spaces and green flag status within our parks.


The role will involve maintaining our parks, green spaces and public rights of ways, whilst assisting with the installation and maintenance of equipped play, outdoor gyms and street furnishings (including installation of new equipment with the ability to safely operate a range of tools and mechanical equipment).


The role requires the candidate to hold a Full UK driving license with B+E Trailer towing entitlement.


The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday with seasonal working hours (10 weeks at 32 hours, 10 weeks at 42 hours and 32 weeks at 37 hours). Flexible working hours are required for operational purposes.
