The Council is looking for a confident, ambitious and talented individual to drive the delivery of a wide-ranging programme of objectives as set out in its Corporate Plan and the adopted Local Plan; someone who is ambitious for Broxbourne and wants to reach the very top in local government. As an experienced place shaper, you will also need to demonstrate political nous, commercial acumen, collaborative and inspiring leadership and act as an ambassador for the Council.

In this role you will ensure the integration and coordination of the Council’s Planning, Economic Development and Regeneration activities and ensure the timely and effective delivery of the objectives in our Corporate Plan and emerging Economic Development Strategy which are focused on enhancing our ‘Place’ and sustainability.

You will take the lead on strategic regeneration opportunities, work closelywith partners and local members and consult with residents. Your work will be focussed on delivering long term prosperity for the Borough’s residents as well as high quality environments through increased employment opportunities, positive regeneration of places and delivery of key projects.

With significant experience in a senior management role in the public or private sector, you will also bring experience of successfully managing and delivering complex change and improvement programmes and the motivation, influence and drive to deliver on corporate priorities.
