About Us:

Rediscover your commitment to caring

This is a rolling advert and applications will be considered as and when received.

In Kensington and Chelsea, we support people’s independence and wellbeing, and work hard to enable them to live in the community with dignity, choice and control. By sharing facilities and expertise with Westminster City Council, we’re able to offer joined-up health and social care services that are constantly evolving and improving. This means our Occupational Therapy (OT) services are well resourced, manageable caseloads. We don’t just talk about person-centred care, we deliver it. Our OTs have everything they need to provide a service they’re proud of.

The Role:

Refresh your career by joining an OT team with the time, resources and commitment to care. While looking after a diverse population, we’re able to focus on individualised care and early intervention. We work within integrated multidisciplinary teams that include qualified and unqualified social workers, OTs, rehabilitation workers and other related support services. It’s an approach that means we have some of the best adult social care services in the country.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll promote best practice and person-centred care, guide and mentor others, and promote a culture of learning. But you’ll also lead by example. Working with older people and adults with physical disabilities, you’ll carry out assessments, create care plans and work closely with other agencies to provide support.  We’ll also look to you for innovative ideas:  you’ll have every opportunity to use your expertise to contribute to policy-making and service delivery improvements.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

A qualified and registered Occupational Therapist, you’ll have significant experience in a local authority setting, including exposure to safeguarding adults’ procedures and risk assessments. You’ll be used to supervising students and other staff and will have excellent assessment and partnership-working skills. Well-organised and calm under pressure, you’ll be a strong communicator with a commitment to helping others achieve their full potential.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will:

•    Hold a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy
•    Hold HCPC registration
•    Have significant post qualifying experience in a Local Authority setting.
•    Experience of staff or student supervision.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

Please apply online and ensure that you specify how to meet the person specification, organisational values and job description in your personal statement. CV’s will not be considered for this application.
