And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. The Camden Finance Graduate programme is about developing talented graduates to become our finance leaders of the future. It’s designed to challenge and maximise your potential within local government finance – giving you the chance to make a real difference in Camden.

The role

The nature of the public sector is transforming, we need to make our resources go further than ever before and finance is absolutely key to what Camden can do, how it does it and when. If you are passionate about working in the public sector and want to work in public sector finance in an ambitious, exciting and digitally savvy organisation Camden’s Finance Graduate programme could be just the thing for you.

We are searching for a highly motivated graduate who aspires to build a career in local government finance and can take up the challenge of studying for a professional qualification whilst working full time. You can expect a varied, structured programme with increasing levels of responsibility and autonomy on progression through the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA) professional qualification.

To broaden your experience and meet the CIPFA requirements you will rotate around five key finance disciplines, from assisting budget holders manage their finances to providing strategic advice on major transformational programmes to senior officers. You will get involved in all aspects of the finance function but as we are always looking to improve what we do you will also be asked to challenge, innovate and contribute to service improvement.
