Our Early Help SEND Service is looking to recruit a Practitioner to join our amazing team in Wandsworth and play a key role in helping children and young people with SEND reach their full potential.

This is a fixed term contract until March 2022.

About the Early Help Service

Early Help support is targeted and responsive, ensuring that children and their families can access services easily and coordinated around the individual needs of the family.

To do this well we need the right people to join us on our journey that places children at the heart of our practice. We already have a highly skilled and experienced team of practitioners who support these ambitions

About our role

You will be working with children and young people aged 0-25 with SEND, who need targeted support. You will be providing a creative programme for learning and development in an environment that is led by the children and young people.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following for:

  • Building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure children and young people voice is captured in consultations across service areas 0-25 for children and young people with SEND
  • Developing our vision for inclusive early help provision and specialist services offered in Wandsworth.
  • Leading on the development of the George Shearing specialist offer including managing the effective use of the building by in house and commissioned services (11-25)
  • Planning and delivering training which will enable and support Early Help and the local offer services be inclusive for young people with SEND
  • Delivering specific targeted programmes of activities in a variety of settings across the cluster areas or places where we know there are high levels of need for children and young people with SEND (11-25).
