Team Leader in the Disabled Children Social Work Team.

In Royal Greenwich, as a GOOD authority (Ofsted December 2019) with areas of fantastic practice for children and young people with SEND, we are passionate about keeping children and young people at the heart of what we do. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Team Leader, to join our experienced team.

The Disabled Children Social Work Team covers a range of statutory work across CIN, CP and Children in our Care with severely disabled children and their families. As an integrated service, team members will also work closely with our Children’s Occupational Therapy service and our new Short Break Team.

We are looking for a leader with experience in statutory social care settings and a passion for inclusion and supporting disabled children and their families to achieve their outcomes.

You will be joining an ambitious, high achieving service that has excellent relationships and partnerships established with families, community resources and a newly expanded Short Breaks Offer.  Children and young people are at the heart of our decision making.

If you are as passionate as we are about making a difference to disabled children and young people – and have the skills and experience we are looking for – then please come and join us!

Royal Greenwich has a lot to offer – a rich cultural heritage and a diverse and vibrant community – as well as good sporting facilities, affordable housing and great transport / road links. There is a generous annual leave offer and on-going continued professional development opportunities.
