About the role

We are looking to recruit 2 Senior Performance Analysts to lead on the provision of high quality, timely, accurate Management information and analysis, including financial information, in relation to Adult Social Care.  You will manage and guide performance analysts in producing detailed performance reports and dashboards for the Delivery Unit to understand activity, and provide analysis/insights to support evidence-based decision making

You will provide expert guidance and insight about the collection of mandatory data returns, including the development of appropriate data quality processes and guidance documentation and take a lead role in the submission of national data collections, ADASS returns and statutory submissions. 

The successful candidate will actively engage with national and regional performance groups including ADASS to understand developments and changes to frameworks and inform its impact to the Barnet’s Adult Social Care (ASC) Leadership Team.  You will be responsible for preparing guidance, sharing knowledge and influencing report development on legislative changes to statutory compliance relevant to ASC with the team

This role will support key initiatives and projects within Adults and Health and be responsible for working with colleagues from across the Council to contribute to the development of similar initiatives and projects outside the Adults & Health Directorate.  You will be required to represent Adults & Health in relation to performance, information and insight at networks across and outside the Council.

About you

You will need to meet the following requirements:

Hold a recognised qualification in a relevant field e.g. research/analysis, Social Care or Health desirable, plus post-qualification experience and training and/or equivalent experience or training in a related business environment

Knowledge of the local government policy context and experience of working in a public-sector environment (preferably health or social care).  Detailed knowledge of Adults and Health case management systems and social care recording practices

Experienced in managing people and mentoring specifically in data analytics with a high level of knowledge of social care practice and current policy and legislation. 

High level of knowledge of statistical tools and techniques for data and finance analysis and have a high level of technical skill in the use of Adults and Health reporting software.  Knowledge of Business Objects software would be desirable and a high level of expertise in Excel 

Highly numerate with a background in data analysis and producing insight reports, preferably in the health and social care sector or with equivalent experience

High level of technical knowledge in relation to national statistics and data sources
