We are looking for an exceptionally strong and experienced operational system leader with demonstrable innovation to shape the future of adult health and social care services in the West of the county, ensuring that we make a real difference to the lives of residents.

This varied and challenging leadership role will be key in the implementation and delivery of our alliance plan whilst championing the transformational delivery of integrated health and social care services across the West of the county. 

Reporting into Suffolk County Council (SCC) and the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT), you will work across the system with a wide network of partners and stakeholders, ensuring services work better together to shape cohesive approaches to supporting those who need our help the most.

On behalf of the Director of Adult Social Services (DASS), SCC and the Chief Executive, WSFT you will be responsible for the delivery of the local authority's statutory responsibilities in relation to adult social care and delivery of the high quality safe and effective community health care to the population of West Suffolk, respectively.

We're looking for a clear track record of success in partnership working, with an emphasis on integration.  As an inspiring and engaging communicator, you will build and nurture powerful relationships and develop a strong network that collaborates effectively to bring about real change.

Previous experience of senior leadership, creating the conditions for a high performance culture and exploring new ways of working is essential and you'll need the credibility, vision and innovative thinking to really engage, influence and inspire others. You will need to be an effective decision maker who is adept at analysing different approaches, managing risk and delivering long term sustainable change across a complex system.
