Technology Lead (Technology & Change)
Hours: Full Time, permanent
Location: Flexible with expectation to attend offices in North Yorkshire when required.
Here at North Yorkshire County Council our Technology and Change Department plays a vital part in improving and developing services across the whole Council for the benefit of our customers and staff. Our Team is responsible for a wide range of technologies including endpoint management, VDI, email, firewall/ADC, networking and telephony.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Unified Communications, Endpoint and Security Team within Technology and Change. We’re looking for an experienced individual who can help shape the technology strategy and transition our existing product set to meet the demands of a changing workplace. As well as providing 3rd line technical support for many of these technology areas, you will need to mentor and train other staff within the team.
What you will bring
Specific vendor experience in the technology platforms we support would be beneficial; these include PaloAlto firewall, Citrix ADC, Trend security suite, Aruba networking, Microsoft Azure/365 and Mitel/Teams telephony.
As Technology Lead, you are responsible for specialist technology areas (domains) within T&Cs’ ICT infrastructure. You will lead a supportive, specialist team, ensuring the continued availability and performance of key products and components. You will also research and develop in line with emerging technologies as well as plan and implement new and changed products and components. As subject matter expert, you will contribute and maintain Technical Architecture standards.
