About Us:

Deliver a 21st century model housing estate that is carbon-neutral by 2030.

Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy, a commitment was made to undertake a comprehensive refurbishment of the Lancaster West Estate, to be delivered sensitively and collaboratively with residents.

As part of a council commitment to deliver carbon-neutral council housing by 2030, the scope of the refurbishment now embraces all elements that will improve the energy performance of the homes we manage.

Please apply online explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description. CV’s will not be considered for this role

The Role:

You’ll supervise our in-house property refurbishment team - and monitor various contractors - to deliver a programme of internal refurbishment to all tenanted properties and voids on the estate.

While your expertise lies in the technical and commercial aspects of internal refurbishment, you’ll be motivated by getting things right for residents. On site and checking on progress everyday, you’ll be in close contact with the local community and have a keen eye on deadlines, work standards and site health and safety.

You will manage 8-14 operatives, ensuring high standards and championing the upskilling our operatives whilst also embedding a range of energy saving measures through the internal refurbishment programme.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

Excellent technical knowledge is essential, so you’re likely to have significant experience in the building trades, surveying or another aspect of construction.

Combining a focus on efficiency and productivity with rigorous attention to health and safety, you’ll also have excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
