About Us:

Shape our service around the users

In Kensington and Chelsea, we look after a diverse population, which includes people living in some of the nation’s most deprived wards. Our challenges have become particularly acute during the pandemic but, by sharing facilities and expertise in a bi-borough agreement with Westminster City Council, we have sustained joined-up health and social care services that put residents at their heart. This includes a range of innovative services in mental health.

The Role:

This is an opportunity to bring your ideas as well as your experience to a dynamic social work team. We’re currently transforming the way we deliver mental health services, putting even great emphasis on integrated health and social care. Day to day, you’ll shape our offering around mental health service users, generating care and support plans, and identifying and addressing safeguarding issues. You’ll be backed by significant investments in the service that ensure it is well staffed and resourced. At Kensington and Chelsea, you’ll receive a high level of input to your training and development, as well as exceptional support from your peers.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

You’ll be a qualified and registered social worker, with sound experience of working with adult users from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and a strong interest in mental health. You’ll be ready to work as part of a large and complex team delivering person-centred support. You’ll bring a wide range of skills and strategies to every situation and be able to apply them flexibly and creatively. Strong communication skills are key, and you’ll also be adept at coaching and mentoring others to help develop a strong and expert team.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

Please apply online explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description. CV’s will not be considered for this role.
