Job Details

Danesgate is a specialist setting for 5-16 year olds with social, emotional and mental health needs, alongside other SEND needs such as Autism.  We wish to recruit a member of staff who can contribute to our whole school vision.

The post holder will be required to work across our campus and with a wide age range of pupils with different SEND needs and ages. To work as part of our Senior Leadership Team and as part of the Danesgate Community you will take responsibility for ensuring that the children and young people receive a level of pastoral care which displays a commitment to the philosophy of the Danesgate Community.

You will lead the school’s pastoral support agenda; behaviour, attendance and safeguarding.  To promote partnership between school, parents/carers, and authorities, which will promote the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of our children and young people in order that they may achieve their full potential.

To engage young people who may be disengaged from education this post offers significant opportunities for professional development for anyone who is committed to working with vulnerable young people.

1 year fixed term in the first instance, to commence Sep 2021 (or sooner if possible).
