Please note this role is part time and not a qualified Social Worker role so ideally suitable for candidates that do not have full time employment elsewhere, (alternate weekends Friday, Saturday & Sunday overnights, 9 hours per shift, 27 hours bi-weekly) and the annual salary advertised will be pro rata. In addition to the basic salary there is a 15% allowance for unsociable hours
The Role
The Emergency Duty Team Adviser's role is to provide a prompt and efficient response to service users, carers, agencies, medical care and professionals Out of Hours, giving information and where appropriate passing referrals to our team of Social workers. This role is not a Social Worker role, it is the first point of contact for Social Care emergencies, out of normal working hours.
Skills and Knowledge
As part of employment with Essex County Council should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
